In the 35 years since forming, Blue Rodeo have sold over 4 million albums, received dozens of JUNO Award nominations and wins, played over 2,000 shows, been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, received a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame, been named to the Order of Canada and have been honoured with the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award. And they’re still as strong as ever with the recent release of their 16th album Many A Mile, and national tour.
Intimate Performances
You will enjoy two intimate performances by the band onboard the AmaVerde. You’ll hear Blue Rodeo’s hits from their 30+ year reign as one of Canada’s most popular and beloved bands. The band members will also regale you with stories of their own songs and covers during the songwriters’ circle.
Meet and Greet
On the first night, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the bad and have your photo taken. The ultimate VIP experience!
Fundraising Dinner for Hospice PEI
During the week, chances to have dinner with the band will be sold and three staterooms will win the opportunity to join the members of Blue Rodeo for a private dinner at the Chef’s Table restaurant on the last night of the cruise.
Hospice PEI is a community of caring individuals making each day count for Islanders and their families through our volunteer-led hospice support, comfort, and care programs, as well as advocacy and education for quality palliative and hospice care. We also support Island families after a loved one’s death through our grief support services. Paula Stewart has been a volunteer with Hospice PEI for more than 25 years.
Day 1 - April 28
Budapest - Embarkation
Arrive in Budapest and board your luxurious river cruise ship anytime after 12 noon (your stateroom will be ready at 3:00 pm).

Day 2 - April 29
Budapest, Hungary
Today you have the opportunity to visit both the Buda (hilly) and Pest (flat) sides of the Danube River. Start on the Buda side, following your guide through the city’s Castle District where you will marvel at the fairytale turrets of Fisherman’s Bastion, gaze upon the breathtaking panorama below and see Matthias Church, renowned for its striking tower and colorful mosaic roof. For a more active tour, hike to Budapest’s Castle Hill. In the afternoon, explore the treasures of Pest, admiring the colossal Hungarian Parliament Building, Heroes’ Square and the moving “Shoes on the Danube Bank” memorial.

Day 3 - April 30
Bratislava, Slovakia
Host to the crowning ceremonies of 11 Hungarian kings and queens between 1536 and 1830, Bratislava certainly has earned the title “Coronation City of Kings,” as you’ll discover during your walking tour. Or join a special “Tastes of Slovakia” tour. For a more active adventure, hike up to Bratislava Castle, offering magnificent views of the city.

Day 4 - May 1
Vienna, Austria
The “City of Waltzes” offers a wealth of gems and your city tour showcases its regal splendors, including the majestic Opera House and the former Imperial Palace of the Habsburgs. Conclude your tour in Vienna’s historic city center and then visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral, or discover Vienna by bike. During the afternoon, enjoy leisure time to further explore this iconic city.

Day 5 - May 2
Weissenkirchen-Grein, Austria
After reaching Weissenkirchen, you’ll be treated to several choices of excursions. Take a walking tour of Dürnstein before visiting the UNESCO-designated Melk Abbey. For a more culinary-focused experience, join a walking tour in Dürnstein, then enjoy a wine tasting hosted by a local vintner and sample special apricot treats from a local boutique. If you prefer a more active adventure, hike up to the fortress where Richard the Lionheart was once held or join a guided bike tour to Melk. Later in the day, sail through the Strudengau Valley to medieval Grein for an exclusive visit to the more than 500-year-old Greinburg Castle, looming regally from above

Day 6 - May 3
Linz, Austria
The ship arrives in Linz where you’ll have several choices of excursions. For those who love The Sound of Music, enjoy a full-day excursion to Salzburg and tour the historic center, Mirabell Gardens, Residenz Square and the Old Market. En route to Salzburg, stop at Mondsee, home of the Basilica St. Michael, where the famous wedding scene in the movie was filmed. You may also choose to join a full-day excursion to the charming Czech mountain town of Český Krumlov, where you can stroll its cobblestone streets; marvel at the city’s picturesque Baroque and Renaissance-style buildings; and tour Krumlov Castle, one of Europe’s largest castle complexes. Following these full-day excursions, you may also choose to take a brief walking tour in Linz. Alternatively, join a walking tour through the old city center of Linz and by the Mozart House; or bike along the city’s famed “Cultural Mile” and the Danube.

Day 7 - May 4
Passau-Vilshofen, Germany
Discover the city of Passau in one of three ways. Enjoy a walking tour and marvel at Gothic and Italian Baroque architecture and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Alternately, choose between a guided hike up to the Veste Oberhaus fortress or a guided bike tour along the River Inn. Later, cruise to Vilshofen, where you will be treated to a festive Oktoberfest celebration— an AmaWaterways exclusive.

Vilshofen - Disembarkation
Bid farewell to the AmaVerde and prepare for your flight home. Closest International airport is Munich, optional transfers will be offered prior to final payment of $60.00 per person.

Day 8 - May 5, 2025 - Vilshofen, Germany to Prague, Czechia
On arrival in Vilshofen you will be met and transferred to Plzeň, where you will enjoy a half day city tour. Your adventure begins at the awe-inspiring Gothic architecture of St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral, a masterpiece dating back to the 13th century. Marvel at its intricate detailing and soaring spire, offering a testament to Plzeň’s rich religious and cultural heritage. Continue your exploration with a visit to the Great Synagogue of Plzen, the third-largest synagogue globally. This architectural gem stands as a poignant symbol of Plzeň’s vibrant Jewish community. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the history of brewing at the world-renowned Pilsner Urquell Brewery. Afterwards, transfer to Prague and check in at your hotel.

Day 9 - May 6, 2025 - Prague, Czechia
Transfer by coach to Prague Castle, and enjoy a tour inside. Then begin a half day city tour from there. Check out the city’s main attractions—from Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral to the Jewish Quarter, Old Town and Charles Bridge—and follow the Royal Way, a route used during coronations of Bohemian kings.
